Trick or Treat Layout - KLD DT Doodles #5

I just finished a layout of my son going trick or treating.  This was the 1st time we actually went door to door (we usually go to a fall festival at a local church and to the festivities in our town) and he had so much fun!! And, of course, I used a sketch at Kiwi Lane for my inspiration.

Discover Layout - KLD Basic Sketch #2

I am really enjoying the sketch challenges over at the Kiwi Lane Blog  They are a lot of fun, they help me get my some layouts done, and best of all you get a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to their store.  You don't even have to use their templates for the basic sketch challenge, but seeing how I was lucky last week and won the basic sketch and design doodle drawing and got 3 new sets, I had to use them!

KLD Basic Sketch #2
My take on the sketch:

For this layout I used:
Chevron Template 2A
Aspen Court Template 3A
Silhouette for the ring, star, arrow, 'smiles', tags, and scallop border
Cricut for 'discover' (graphically speaking), 'boys' tag (boys will be boys), 'explore' and folded ribbons (artbooking)

I have decided not to buy anymore supplies (other than solid cardstock and adhesive) until I use up some of my stash ~ so I am happy to say that all my cardstock came from "Spoiled Rotten' paper stack from The Paper Studio that I have had forever and never used.

Getting My Bobcat Badge Layout - KLD Basic Sketches

Now that Kiwi Lane is doing the DT Doodles every 2 weeks they have introduced a new sketch challenge on the opposite week of the DT Doodles, it is called Basic Sketches and you do not have to use their templates but still have a chance to win a $25 gift card so you can buy their templates.  How awesome is that??

Here is the sketch:
And here is my take on it:

I really liked this sketch because it is simple and since I am working on my son's cub scout scrapbook, simple is exactly what I need.  I used my silhouette to print and cut all elements for this page.

Speedster LO ~ KLD DT Doodle #3

It is time again for another Kiwi Lane design team doodle.  Here is the sketch:

and here is my take on it ~ I just used the left side for my layout since I don't do 2-page layouts very often:
I used the following items for this layout:
Carta Bella Rough and Tumble digital paper
Kiwi Lane Abbie Road template
Boys Will Be Boys Cricut Cartridge - speedster title and the letter c
Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge - banners
Artiste Cricut Cartridge - road sign
Silhouette - circle, star, happy arrow, and zig zag border
Memento dew drop in Danube blue to ink edges

I am also entering this in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday - Seeing Red Challenge

Feather Race LO - Kiwi Lane DT Doodles #2

This layout is of my son doing a feather race at a cub scout pack meeting.  I used the Kiwi Lane DT Doodles #2 sketch for this layout.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I do not have the chevron templates (yet!) so I used my silhouette to cut the zig zag and also the feathers, title, and 'fun' wordart.  The pattern paper and embellishments are from The Sweet Shoppe 'Do Your Best' digital kit and I used my silhouette to print and cut these.  I also used Abbie Road3A to make my wavy strip.    I am really enjoying using my KLD templates (even though I only have one set - which I hope to change soon) and am enjoying their sketches!  TFL

Stingray Bay Layout ~ Kiwi Lane DT #1

This layout is of my son going to Stingray Bay at the zoo for the first time.  He loved it so much ~ he really enjoyed 'touching' the stingrays and sharks but wasn't too sure about feeding them. My inspiration for the layout comes from Kiwi Lane DT Challenge #1.

I generally only do one page layouts so I used the right side of the sketch for my layout today:

For my layout I used:
Abbie Road 1A
Silhouette for the circle, bracket shape, title
Lettering Delights: Sealife Cut Its Set: stingray and shark.
Paper: Echo Park: Paradise Beach
